Funding

John has secured £47,000 of external research funding since commencing his lectureship in 2003. This has come from Government departments to date (details below). He is now working on four Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) applications in tandem with the Royal Courts of Justice Bankruptcy Registry and a leading provider of credit information.

Personal Insolvency Project (PIP)

The Insolvency Service (An Executive Agency of The Department for Trade and Industry, now Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform): £10,000 co-funding. An additional £10,000 was received from Grant Thornton LLP for this project.

Bankruptcy Courts Survey 2005 (BCS)

The Insolvency Service contributed £13,000 towards this research project.

Higher Education Funding Council

John received £400 towards the completion of his work on Basil Montagu QC (1770-1852) from the Higher Education Funding Council. An interim paper can be seen here
